Friedrichshafen, April 2025 — At this year’s AERO Friedrichshafen, Neomium officially unveiled the CÆSIUM® Cs-40, its 40-kilowatt, high-voltage motor controller for light electric vehicles — marking a milestone for open-source propulsion systems in aviation and beyond.

Over four packed exhibition days, the Cs-40 caught the attention of dozens of ultralight and glider manufacturers, engineers, and system integrators looking for a modern, thermal-stable, and open platform to power their next generation of electric aircraft.

With a peak output of 40 kilowatts (54 HP) and operation at up to 200 volts (rated for 46S Li-Ion), the Cs-40 delivers performance and voltage levels ideal for electric aviation — all while avoiding the pitfalls of conventional motor controllers, such as closed-source limitations or thermal constraints.

It runs the powerful, community-driven VESC® software, enabling full parametrization, data visualization, and compatibility with a wide range of motors — even low-inductance, drone-class outrunners.

Also drawing attention: the compact and stylish BreezeDude Mini, a precision wind and weather station for developers and aero-builders. Running fully open-source firmware and supporting flexible interface protocols, it was shown live on the AtlasAero back wall.

The exhibition was also the pre-order debut of AtlasAero’s Terra420 — an electric paraglider propulsion system optimized for silent, zero-emission flight. Featuring Neomium’s components, the system received strong interest from both hobby pilots and commercial ultralight builders.

We’re thrilled about the feedback, connections, and conversations sparked at AERO 2025. A big thanks to the organizers, our partner AtlasAero, and everyone who visited our booth.

The Cs-40 is now available for order via our online shop — and we’re just getting started.
